Stutz was a luxury car manufacturer credited with producing America's first ever sports car. The short-lived firm was active for just 24 years but produced highly in-demand cars, many of which were winners of the Indianapolis 500.

The Stutz was named "the car that made good in a day" in reference to it joining the race so late but managing to create a car which placed in the top slots.
