Elvis Presley’s famous 1955 pink Cadillac Fleetwood is an icon in and of itself. It seems as if Elvis took a liking to the pink Cadillac after buying his first one in 1954. After an unfortunate fire near Texarkana, Arkansas, he was forced to get rid of it. A month later, he bought the iconic ‘55 Cadillac, but at the time of purchase, it was blue with a black roof. With some help from his neighbor and friend, Art, he transformed the vehicle into a softer, pinker version of itself. At this point the roof was still black. It wasn’t until Scotty Moore crashed into a pick-up truck near Texarkana, Texas, that Elvis had the roof painted white and the upholstery replaced. Today you can find the car in the Graceland museum, in Memphis, Tennessee.
You can own a slice of history by purchasing this Elvis Presley 1955 Pink Cadillac Fleetwood Series 60, produced by Greenlight at 1/18 scale.
