All About BBurago Diecast

Founded in 1976 by the Besana brothers, Bburago is still going strong creating popular and high-quality diecast cars. From humble beginnings producing small 1/43 Fiat trucks, Bburago has grown immensely, with their main offering now being the larger 1/18 scale sought after by many collectors. Fortunately, they still produce models in all sizes. The larger models typically have opening doors, working steering, detailed compartments and panels, and many other exciting features.

Competition in the world of diecast models has been fierce, and in 2005 Bburago shut down, only to reopen in 2007 as part of the May Cheong Group with Maisto. Up until 2005, all Bburago models were produced in Italy, but the mostly-European line is now produced in Thailand and China with many of the same models available, as well as new castings. Here are best of the best Bburago models we currently offer.

BBURAGO 2008 MASERATI GRAN TURISMO 1/24 BLACKThe 2008 Maserati Gran Turismo is highly regarded for its graceful and attractive design, even having been compared to an Italian supermodel in beauty. Power-train tuning and a skyhook suspension system make this pretty package a great ride as well, with 405 hp from a 4.2 L V8 engine giving it power and high performance. This luxury vehicle is a careful combination of the Maserati Quattroporte V platform and the Ferrari 599 GTB and Scaglietti, with all the best features and design work coming into play.

You can see the beauty of this 2008 Maserati Gran Turismo for yourself with this 1/24 scale model by Bburago. Touted as amazing, spectacular, and the best Maserati of all by owners of the Gran Turismo, this incredible vehicle can now be a part of your collection in a gorgeous black color that makes it look particularly sophisticated.

BBURAGO 1/24 FERRARI LAFERRARI WHITEThe name Ferrari Laferrari may sound a bit redundant, but it was intentionally named that way to show that it is the very definition of a Ferrari, “The Ferrari” itself. This absolutely stunning sports car is a rarity, with only 499 units having been built. With top speeds of 217 mph to match the Enzo, the Laferrari really stands out with its ability to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in less than 3 seconds. It is also unique for its lack of Pininfarina bodywork and its status as Ferrari's first mild hybrid with an impressive 40% decrease in fuel consumption.

While the real deal may cost over $1 million, Bburago has made it much more affordable for collectors to enjoy this magnificent sports car on a daily basis. On a 1/24 scale, this classy white vehicle would look great as part of any display.

BBURAGO 1/18 FERRARI 458 SPECIALE REDThe Ferrari 458 Speciale is said by Ferrari itself to be their highest performance V8 vehicle. The race-inspired design is very fitting of this car's incredible power. With 597 hp, the 458 Speciale can accelerate almost as quickly as the Laferrari, reaching 62 mph in exactly 3 seconds. A few key features such as the carbon-fiber intact manifold and the window glass were designed specifically to reduce the vehicle's weight and complement the extremely aerodynamic design. Quick response and Side Slip Control make this vehicle easy to handle, improving performance and making for a smooth ride.

Bburago has recreated this innovative vehicle on a 1/18 scale for collectors to enjoy. Their Ferrari 458 Speciale is painted in an eye-catching red with blue and white racing stripes across the hood, roof, and rear. As far as luxury Ferraris go, the 458 Speciale is one of the most aesthetically pleasing to show off and enjoy.
