Pierce-Arrow

Well known for its expensive, luxurious models, Pierce-Arrow was a favorite amongst Hollywood film stars and the rich elite since they were the only ones who could afford its elegant cars.

The Great Arrow - the firm's most successful model - won the Glidden Trophy in 1905, a title given to the cars with the best build quality tested after an endurance race.

The early Pierce-Arrow advertisements expressed the firm's disdain for overstatement and just featured an oil painting of the car in the background of a pretty scene with the brand name layered on the top of the page.
