The Road Runner muscle car took its name from the Warner Brothers cartoon character, which cost Plymouth $50,000 in licensing fees. A further $10,000 was spent to develop the 'beep-beep' horn which was an iconic sound established in the cartoon itself. Of course, to match up to the name of this fast running bird, the car had to come fitted with a powerful engine. This came in the form of a 7.0L Hemi engine developing 425 horsepower. The Road Runner was one of the best sellers of 1968 with only the GTO and the Super Bee outselling it.
This is the 1/64 green version of the Plymouth Road Runner, made by M2 Machines.
