The 512 S seems to be cursed. Painfully few were built, and most were destroyed in various tragic incidents, notably during the filming of Steve McQueen's Le Mans. The 512 won major races in the 1970 race season, but was phased out in favour of the 312PB to compete with Porsche. The car brought Ferrari victory over Porsche by the end of the 1970 season with its outright victory in 12hrs of Sebring.
This 12 Hours of Sebring 1970 1/18 #21 Hot Wheels diecast model pays homage to this rare, star-crossed vehicle. It is presented with the highest detail, a key piece for any collector of Ferrari diecast models. - Doors, hood and trunk open
- Steerable wheels that roll
- High quality diecast metal
- Finely applied detail
As with all of our cars, this Hot Wheels diecast model Ferrari comes brand new, sealed in its original factory packaging in order to maintain its status as a mint condition collector's item.
